A VP of Operations running 150 locations doesn't open a dashboard to look at a chart. She opens it with a question already in mind. Which region slipped yesterday? Are guests still adding the second protein since the price change? How many people should Phoenix schedule for Saturday lunch?

The latest [OpSage](https://opsage.com/opsage-ai-assistant) release rebuilds the dashboard and the sales forecast around questions like those. It also gives OpSage Daily a permanent home in the main navigation, so the morning read is one click away.

![Dashboard overview in a customer's brand colors. Caption: "The new dashboard, rendered in your own Brand Kit colors."\]](https://opsage.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Screenshot%202026-10-02%20at%2010.40.42%20AM.png?width=1000&height=674&name=Screenshot%202026-10-02%20at%2010.40.42%20AM.png)

### Widgets that understand a restaurant menu

Most BI tools treat a menu as a flat list of items. An enterprise menu doesn't behave that way. A guest orders a bowl, picks a protein, adds guacamole and swaps the base, and a good share of your check average and food cost lives in those choices.

The new OpSage widgets work more like [small apps built for one job](https://opsage.com/convx-blog/building-custom-apps-with-opsage) each. Product mix now breaks down to individual modifiers, so you can see how often guests upgrade a side or double a protein, at any location and over any period. Because OpSage already groups [the same menu item under one name across every location](https://opsage.com/convx-blog/opsage-release-0.9.7-one-name-same-thing-every-location), those modifier numbers compare cleanly from store to store. For a brand testing a new add-on price in one region, that's the difference between guessing at attach rate and reading it off the screen.

![Screenshot 2026-10-02 at 10.43.37 AM](https://opsage.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Screenshot%202026-10-02%20at%2010.43.37%20AM.png?width=1000&height=346&name=Screenshot%202026-10-02%20at%2010.43.37%20AM.png)

Sales also roll up by region and by protein mix. A regional director can see how chicken, steak and plant-based proteins are trending across her territory and compare that against the rest of the system. Protein mix ties straight to food cost and to the supply commitments your purchasing team negotiated, so this view matters well beyond the ops team. It all runs on the same [Restaurant Data Platform](https://opsage.com/restaurant-data-platform) that connects your POS, labor and inventory systems.

In the example below, we used OpSage Ask to show how sales roll up by region and by protein mix.

### Simple on top, deep underneath

Executives want the headline number. Field leaders want to know why it moved. Each widget now opens on a simple headline view, with drill downs several layers deep behind it. A typical path runs from the full brand to a region, then to a single location, then to the items and modifiers driving the change.

Nobody has to export to Excel or file a request with the data team to get from "sales were soft in the Southeast" to the store and menu item behind it.

Every widget renders in your own brand colors. When a franchisor shares dashboards with franchisees as part of [building a data-driven franchise culture](https://opsage.com/convx-blog/building-a-data-driven-culture-in-franchise-operations), or an operations leader puts a view in front of the board, it looks like your company's reporting. (And if your team still passes numbers around as images, [there's a better way to share dashboards](https://opsage.com/convx-blog/stop-screenshotting-your-dashboards-to-your-team).)

### Forecasts you can see into

A forecast that says Saturday will do $8,400 leaves a lot unsaid. Could it be $7,000? $9,500? A GM has no way to know, so she either trusts the number or ignores it.

OpSage now shows every location an expected range for each day. The width of the range reflects how confident the forecast is: a tight band means the model has strong history and stable conditions to work from, and a wide band tells you there's more uncertainty in play. Each forecast also explains what it's based on, drawing on the location's own sales history, seasonality, weather, holidays and local events. It's the next step in moving [from hindsight to foresight](https://opsage.com/convx-blog/from-hindsight-to-foresight-how-restaurant-operators-use-end-to-end-data-intelligence-to-stay-ahead).

![Screenshot 2026-10-02 at 10.54.31 AM](https://opsage.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Screenshot%202026-10-02%20at%2010.54.31%20AM.png?width=2042&height=1084&name=Screenshot%202026-10-02%20at%2010.54.31%20AM.png)

Across a large portfolio, that changes where you spend attention. Locations with tight ranges can schedule and order to the forecast and move on. Locations with wide ranges are where a GM's local knowledge matters most, whether that's a stadium event next door or a road closure the model can't see coming. Staffing and perishable orders get planned against a number your managers can look inside, which makes them far more likely to use it. For more on putting forecasts to work on the schedule, see [how to use restaurant analytics for labor forecasting](https://opsage.com/convx-blog/how-to-use-restaurant-analytics-for-labor-forecasting).

### A clearer app for everyone who uses it

Enterprise rollouts live or die on whether store and field teams find their way around. This release tightens the everyday experience:

- **OpSage Daily** now has its own spot in the main navigation, with insights appearing directly on the page and in Reports.
- **A redesigned sticky header and section banners** keep you oriented as you scroll through long dashboards.
- **Alerts** moved into the left navigation with an unread count, so nothing sits unnoticed. Teams that coordinate in Slack can also [act on alerts right in Slack](https://opsage.com/convx-blog/opsage-is-now-in-slack).
- **Brand Kit** logo uploads are larger and preview live.

### Built for how your organization is structured

Region rollups match your org chart. Modifier and protein views match how your menu team and purchasing team think. Forecast ranges give every GM a planning number they can question instead of one they have to take on faith. And because OpSage has [no per-user fees](https://opsage.com/pricing), every regional director, district manager and GM can use these views without a licensing conversation.

See the new dashboards and forecast ranges on your own data. [Book a demo](https://opsage.com/contact) or read the full details in the [release notes](https://opsage.com/release-notes).
