Stop Screenshotting Your Dashboards to Your Team

You build a dashboard that finally answers the question your regional managers keep asking. Then what? You screenshot it. You paste it into Slack. Two weeks later someone asks the same question again, because the screenshot is stale and nobody remembers where the original lives.

Release 0.9.16 fixes that. You can now share any dashboard or app you build with your team, and it stays live for them.

Share it, and it stays live

Pick who sees it: one person, a whole role like your region managers, or the entire company. The dashboard you share isn't a copy frozen at the moment you sent it. It reads live, against each person's own access, so a district manager who opens it next Tuesday sees Tuesday's numbers scoped to their own district, not yours.

If someone on your team builds something close to what you need, copy it and adjust rather than starting over. And if a shared dashboard isn't for you, dismiss it. It moves to an archive, not the trash, so it's there if you change your mind.

There's no per-person charge for the people you share with. If a dashboard is worth putting in front of forty managers, put it in front of forty managers.

Snapshots: when you need the numbers to stop moving

A live dashboard is usually what you want. Sometimes it isn't. Before a franchise meeting or a period-end review, you need the numbers exactly as they stood that morning, not whatever they've drifted to by the time the meeting starts.

That's what a snapshot is for. Name it, and OpSage stores the dashboard as it looked, apps and all, and reads back from that stored copy instead of re-running anything. Print one from your browser and it comes out clean, full length, with the app framing stripped away.

A gallery to start from

Building an OpSage App by describing what you want is easier with a starting point. The dashboards page now opens with a gallery of templates, so you can see what an app looks like before you commit to building one from a blank page. Pick one, then keep shaping it the same way you'd shape anything else in OpSage: tell it what to change.

Sign-in, rebuilt, and a home for connected tools

Signing in now happens on the OpSage screen itself, not on a detour through someone else's login page. Invitation links take you straight to where they should.

We also added a Connected Applications screen. Every time you connect an outside tool to OpSage, you get a plain-language consent step showing exactly what it can read, and you can see everything you've connected and disconnect any of it, effective immediately. A connected tool can only see what you can see. Permissions are set from your role at the moment you approve the connection, so a connected assistant never sees more of your business than you do.

What this means for your team

None of this requires an admin project. Build a dashboard, share it, and the people you shared it with are looking at the same live numbers you are, without a screenshot in sight.
